Award winning newspaper columnist, David Lauderdale, will be the keynote
speaker for the 70th Annual Meeting of the Beaufort County Historical
Society on May 14. Lauderdale’s humorous and informative columns about life in the Lowcountry have appeared in our local newspapers, the Island Packet and Beaufort Gazette, for more than 30 years.
His talk is entitled “History, One Day at a Time.” The program begins at Noon in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church at North and Church Streets. $10.00 will buy you a light lunch starting at 11:30am.
