Holiday Traditions

Beaufort Branch Library has two key holiday traditions at the end of the year:  The Model Trains and the annual Photography exhibit.  Both are in the building at 311 Scott Street right now.  Both have broad community appeal.

The model trains pull out of Beaufort Branch Station on Saturday, Dec. 15th.  Make sure to drop by before the trains leave for another year!

The Photography Club of Beaufort chose "White" as its theme for 2012.  The exhibit is just outside the BDC's Research Room doors until January 16th.  Read the Beaufort Gazette interview with Sandy Dimke to learn why "white" was chosen: Lowcountry Weekly also carried a story about the exhibit.

View the 40 photographs in "White", 9 am until 4:45 pm, Mondays through Fridays through January 16th.

Reminder: All units of the Beaufort County Library system will be closed Dec. 24th and Dec. 25th.  The BDC Research Room will be open 10 to noon; 1 - 5 pm on Dec. 26th, 27th and 28th. We will observe regular hours Dec. 31st.  We will be closed January 1st.  We resume regular hours, January 2nd (until Martin Luther King, Jr. Day).
