The Ancestry Insider: Monday Mailbox: Ancestry Library Edition

Beaufort County Library provides public access to Ancestry Library Edition in each of our locations during regular hours of operation. If you have a valid Beaufort County Library card, access to using our computers is free. The BDC has one public computer available for searching the SCLENDS catalog and researching local history topics and exploring genealogy.

Ever wonder how Ancestry Library Edition is different from Ancestry Institutional Edition is different from Ancestry.com? Me, too.  Blogger Ancestry Insider got Ancestry.com's Kim Harrison, Senior Institutional Account Executive, to explain - sort of.

Please note:
The Beaufort District Collection Research Room closes at our usual time of 5 pm on Wed., Nov. 26th. The Library will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. The Library system resumes regular hours Sat., Nov. 29th.  We'll be back on Mon., Dec. 1st to help you get on with your research.
