The Friends of the Beaufort County Library have begun their 2012 Books Sandwiched In series.
Just like last year, CityTrex is providing podcasts of the book review sessions in case you can't make it to the programs held on Mondays, Jan. 23rd - Feb. 27th, from Noon to 1 pm at the USCB Center for the Arts. The Friends of the Hilton Head Library group sponsors the Book Break series. This year, I draw particular attention to the session by Wilbur Cross and Emory Campbell on books about Gullah culture. Sessions are held in the Hilton Head Branch Library's Community Room beginning at Noon.

February 15th - David Lauderdale presents Personal History by Katherine Graham
February 22nd - Maureen Richards presents Seed from Madagascar by Duncan Clinch Heyward and A Confederate Lady Comes of Age: The Journal of Pauline Decaradeuc Heyward, 1863-1888 edited by Mary D. Robertson.
If movies are more to your liking, the Friends of the Hilton Head Library have your back. They offer a Film Seminar Series, too!
