The BDC will be closed from Noon until 1 pm next week, June 15th - June 19th in order to comply with Beaufort County's rules of work for non-exempt employees.
Because I will be attending a "Stewardship of America's Legacy: Answering the Call to Action," forum (on a very much appreciated scholarship from the folks at Heritage Preservation) in Buffalo, NY, Charmaine and I won't be able to tag team BDC staff lunchtimes as per usual. And, as her supervisor, I must make sure that the BDC complies with current labor laws and rules of work. Therefore, Charmaine has to be lock up the BDC to protect our materials and go eat lunch from Noon to 1 pm on June 15th, June 16th, June 17th, June 18th and June 19th while I am out of town on business.
