All sorts of extra special events are being sponsored by the BDC next week:
On Tuesday, Oct. 6th, 6 pm, 2nd floor in the Paul Siegmund Room, 311 Scott Street:
Teresa Bruce, documentary film-maker will be on hand to discuss her experiences making God's Gonna Trouble the Waters in the Archaeology Month program called "Trying to Capture a Culture."
On Wednesday, Oct. 7th, 10 am - Noon and again from 2 pm until 4 pm in the 1st floor, BDC Research Room (a.k.a. "South Carolina Room"):
Celeste Wiley, Project Archivist for the Lucille Hasell Culp Collection, will be here to demonstrate proper photographs preservation techniques and to answer your questions about how to best preserve your family photographs.
On Thursday, Oct. 8th, 6 pm, Evan Thompson, Executive Director of the Historic Beaufort Foundation, will lecture on "Slave Architecture in Beaufort," at County Council Chambers, 1000 Ribaut Road. This is the 2nd program within the Archaeology Month series.
