This Thursday, don't miss Dr. Nic Butler talk about "The Building of Fort Lyttleton" at the Hilton Head Island Branch Library beginning at 1 pm. He'll do an evening presentation at the Beaufort Branch Library from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
Bill McIntosh is back on Thursday, May 6th to talk about his book, Indians' Revenge about the Yamassee War. The Beaufort Branch Library Children's Programming Room has a capacity limit of 45. We'll open the room at 5:00pm for the presentation which starts at 5:30pm. This will be similar to "musical chairs:" the first 45 participants can stay for the presentation. No saving of seats for others!
Don't forget that if you're interested in participating in a free Oral History workshop conducted by the Oral History Program of the Citadel and Avery Institute on Saturday, May 22nd at the Beaufort Branch Library, you need to pre-register by calling us at 843-470-6525; 843-255-6468 or e-mailing cseabrook@bcgov.net. We can only accept 40 registrants.
The final Spring program will be held in the Bluffton Branch Library on Tuesday, May 25th. Laura Rose, of Clemson Extension and current president of the South Carolina Native Plants Society, will share her deep knowledge of native plants. This is for all you horticulturalists and hobby gardeners new to our environment!
