Thompson on Historic Preservation

Beaufort Lifestyle magazine interviewed Evan Thompson on his perceptions regarding the state of historic preservation in Beaufort over the last decade for its August/September 2010 issue. Thompson was executive director of Historic Beaufort Foundation from 2005 until his resignation in May 2010. He shares his discomfort with where the historic preservation movement in Beaufort County may be heading.

Thompson is now Executive Director of the Preservation Society of Charleston.

Historic Beaufort Foundation is a member of the Historical Resources Consortium of Beaufort County, a loose affiliation of sister cultural heritage agencies (archives, museums, libraries, historical societies, cultural groups, historical preservation societies) which share their research resources with the public under reasonable terms of access.
