Friends of the Beaufort County Library Meeting and Sale
The Friends of the Beaufort County Library are holding their annual meeting at 9 am tomorrow morning - in the old BDC Room on the first floor. An hour and a 1/2 is allotted for the Annual Meeting. Then the Friends switch over into business mode - and to selling books.
The Friends Spring Book Sale runs from 10:30am - 4:00pm.
Proceeds are applied to meet the needs of the Branch Libraries North of the Broad River and to the Beaufort District Collection that would remain unmet without the Friends financial input.
Come buy a book or two. The FOL funds special services for children, teens and adults, including the highly successful Books Sandwiched In series and equipment and supply purchases not covered within the County's budget for the Library system. For example: The FOL generously provided the seed money necessary to fund the BDC's compact shelving array last year (which is working out just perfectly, by the way).
