Natural History Program Next Wednesday
One of the duties of the Beaufort District Collection is to share information about non-fiction books relating to the history, culture, and environment of our county in the BDC@ The Branches series.
We are pleased to announce that naturalist and nature photographer Marvin Bouknight will be our speaker at the BDC@ Beaufort Branch Library on Wed., April 20th. He will share his experiences as book author, nature photographer, and love of our natural environment beginning at 6:00pm. He will be happy to autograph your purchase of South Carolina’s Lowcountry … Naturally after his presentation.
Bouknight began exploring the outdoors as a child in West Columbia. He earned a wildlife management degree from Clemson University and is the naturalist for the Oldfield Club in Okatie. I’ve attached a photograph of him above.
You can see a list of some of the library materials we have on Lowcountry Ecology. Why not drop by and explore nature in a climate-controlled environment? (We don’t have sand gnats in the library!)
