The
Beaufort County Historical Society, the oldest association in Beaufort County
dedicated to the study and preservation of history, continues its series of free lectures. A member based
organization, the society was established in 1939.

21st, 2013: Grace Cordial, Beaufort County Library about "Child Labor in the
LowCountry" at the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club at Noon
Thurs., Jan.
16th, 2014: Dr. Brent Morris, USC-B on William H. Brisbane, "the most hated man in Beaufort District"
Thurs., March
20th, 2014: Dr. Amy Thompson McCandless, College of Charleston on sister abolitionists, Sarah Grimke and Angelina Grimke Weld.
