After Hurricane Matthew ...

I am delighted to report that the Beaufort District Collection came through Hurricane Matthew without any apparent damage. However, the power was off more than a few days and humidity and temperature levels grew higher than optimal. We will be monitoring materials for any mold outbreaks.

We had to postpone "What the Heck Is It?" due to the inclement weather. The Beaufort Chapter, ASSC and we trying to re-schedule with Dr. Leader and Dr. Poplin.

The Beaufort History Museum has postponed "Historic Houses of Beaufort - The Anchorage" as well. As soon as the new date is set, we will share. 

It's been quite a week! Stay tuned to local news media for the latest updates regarding recovery activities.

As of this writing, all but the Hilton Head Branch Library of the Beaufort County Public Library system have resumed regular hours. The Sea Islands of Beaufort County suffered the heaviest impact of the storm.
