January - February 2017 Local History Programs

We're starting off 2017 with history talks about momentous events in our area's past. Two programs concern natural disasters. One program concerns a local aspect of the bloodiest war in our nation's history. In February we highlight the research of two women who coincidentally were working the same African-American family line and discovered a fabulous saga of perseverance and significant contributions up to the present time. We hope that you'll be able to join us to learn more about the deep and broad history of this wonderful place and its people.
