All the seats for "The Battle of Port Royal Sound, 1861" with Beverly Eggert have been taken. It's a full house for her final lecture in the Beaufort History Museum/Beaufort County Library series. (When I write "Don't delay. Sign up today!" I mean it. The BHM/BCL seats tend to go quickly).
Due to the popularity of this particular session, we are already making plans to revisit this topic from a military perspective in Fall 2017.
There's still room at the "Tide of Death" presentation on Wednesday because that program is first come; first seated. This session will highlight what happened South of the Broad River in the Hilton Head and Bluffton areas of Beaufort County in 1893. The Community Room at Bluffton Branch can hold about 100 people so there should be plenty of seats available.
Hope to see you there!
