What to Expect from the BDC During July 2024

As it just so happens to be Monday, July 1, 2024, here's what you can expect from the BDC this month: You have until July 31 to complete the Summer Reading Program. We hope that you've been participating. But even if you start today, you still have time to do 20 minutes worth of reading for the next 30 days.

The Library will be closed on Thursday, July 4th for Independence Day.
We have two programs scheduled to help you complete activities in the Super Reader Bonus Round of the Summer Reading Program:

1) Wed., July 24 5:30 PM at Beaufort Branch Meeting Room - Cassandra will share some of her adventures so far in the BDC &

2) Mon., July 29 10 AM at the Fort Frederick Historic Site - Archaeologist Meg Gaillard will give us a tour. (Note: Transportation is on your own.)
Today also happens to be the start of our fiscal year, so it's a great day to make a change in an usual practice. Henceforth if the first of the month happens to fall on a Materials Monday (like today) or on a Black History Note Wednesday, the only Facebook post I make will be the monthly overview. Accordingly, "Uniquely BDC in SRP 2024" will return on July 8th.
