The 12th Annual South Carolina Civil War Symposium will be held at the SCDAH on September 18th and 19th. Key note speaker is Bob Krick, military historian and raconteur, author of dozens of books, articles, and essays most often about Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia and the United States Marine Corps. Of local note - because the unit was based in Beaufort for a time: Joe McGill's talk about the the 54th Massachusetts, USCT. McGill is a Civil War re-enactor attached to the 54th Massachusetts group.
