It is sometimes confusing for folks to understand the different collection policies of the Beaufort District Collection, the local history sections at the branch libraries, and the Gullah Geechee Room at the St. Helena Branch library. These two videos, part of a series of interviews with local history librarians and archivists by Bryan Jenkins as his thesis project for USC's College of Library and Information Science in May 2014 may help you better understand the differences between the mission and scope of the Beaufort District Collection and the Gullah Geechee Room at St. Helena Branch Library:
