Sat., May 22nd – Hands on “Oral History Workshop,” presented by the Citadel Oral History Program and the Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture; Sponsored by the Beaufort District Collection and Penn Center. Please note: Registration required and limited to 40 participants. Sign ups will begin April 1st.
Tues., May 25th – “Native Plants,” by Master Naturalist, Laura Rose, Clemson Extension Bluffton Branch Library, 1:00pm – 2:30pm, Large Meeting Room [Reprise planned for September at another Branch Library].
On a personal note: I have been gratified by the number of new faces I've been seeing at our programs over the past 6 months. I am grateful for those of you who have always supported the mission and programs of the Beaufort District Collection. We're trying to respond to customer suggestions and needs by expanding the breadth of our local history program offerings and to share those programs outside of downtown Beaufort. If you like what we're doing, please let us know. If you don't like what we're doing, please let us know that, too.
