Summer Reading programs have long been a mainstay of public libraries in the USA. Registration at BCL begins on Monday, June 4th.
The themes for Summer Reading 2012 are:
- “Dream Big – Read!” ages 4 – 11
- “Own the Night” for teens
- “Between the Covers” for adults – ooh la la

PS: I just love this image. My son, the Ensign, recorded some picture books for MG before his recent deployment with the US Navy. Notice that even at 3 1/2 months old how attentive Mary Grace is! The image was taken by my daughter-in-law, Sarah Holdeman Cordial.
