The Friends of the Beaufort County Library Spring Book Sale will occur on Sat. Apr 24th from 10:30 am to 4:00pm in the main body of the Beaufort Branch Library, 311 Scott Street. The "Friends of the Beaufort County Library" support the Beaufort Branch, the Beaufort District Collection, the Lobeco Branch and the St. Helena Branch libraries.
I am personally very, very grateful for the $20,000 seed money that they gave in support of the compact shelving project for the "New" BDC. Without them, the completion of the renovation and relocation of the BDC to the 2nd floor would be a dead goose in the water. Thank you!!!!
If you reside south of the Broad River, there are other FOLs (which stands for "Friends of the Library"). In fact, Beaufort County Library is fortunate to have three official "FOL" groups to support our goals: "Friends of the Beaufort County Library;" "Friends of the Bluffton Library;" and "Friends of the Hilton Head Library."
Please support one or more of the BCL FOLs because they use the monies raised to provide supplemental income for library programs and services. In these times of economic strangulation, your donation is very much appreciated.
